Fishing and lumber boats still brave the famous tides in the harbour, while back in the early 1800s-1900s, Parrsboro had a golden age of sail that produces more than 700 vessels. Beautiful structures were raised by shipbuilders, businesses and mercantile flourished as communities grew because of the shipbuilding and logging work. Today Parrsboro is known as a vibrant tourist destination and nature explorer’s dream from walking to hiking to kayaking to picnicking.
